Do you not know the difference between tweets, likes, and pins? Are you looking for new ways to reach people who are fully 'plugged in'? If so, this is the session for you. You will learn the difference between the various forms of social media - social networks, blogging/microblogging, and the visual side of social media. You will learn the terminology your students, friends, and family are using. We will also be discussing social media ethics and safety.

Presenter Bio

Donald Laird has been a full-time instructor in the Computer Studies Department at Santa Rosa Junior College since 1998, during which time he has taught nearly 20 different courses across the curriculum. He began teaching online in 1997. He is also a co-author of Practical Photoshop CC Level 1 and Level 2. Donald also created the SRJC Introduction to Social Media course.
