Intuit, in their recent 2020 Report, stated that by the year 2020 40% of workers will be freelance, contract or temp workers. With the growth of the sharing and gig economy, California is poised to see a higher percentage of its workforce as contract workers than other states. Join us to discover tools to assist you in infusing entrepreneurship and small business resources into your curriculum to help your students develop good business practices and expertise as they enter this new world of work. You will leave this session with an assortment of tools and resources you can access to implement immediately in your classroom.
Lorinda Forrest and Gayla Jurevich are Small Business Deputy Sector Navigators as part of the Doing What Matters for Jobs & The Economy Initiative. Both are entrepreneurs and entrepreneur educators/trainers. Lorinda supports the Central Valley/Mother Lode Region and is hosted out of San Joaquin Delta College.
