Students attempting to find work in creative industries are gaining many of the technical skills they need to work - but are often missing skills to get, keep, and flourish in their careers in these fields. Skills gaps covered in the workshop include:
- 21st century skills (including soft skills)
- Job and internship research and application
- Portfolio creation and presentation
- Alternative work opportunities including freelancing and entrepreneurship.
Explore a case study of how CreatorUp is teaming up with LACC to develop a workshop program entitled "Getting a Job in Creative Industries: You, Your Skills, Your Portfolio". Learn what items are covered in the workshop series - and how LACC plans to implement on this campus, and how you may be able to implement it on your campus.
